I got to know Quentin Crisp through "The Naked Civil Servant TV programme & book. I was about 11 when I saw the programme. It made me feel a little better about being a (natural) red headed weirdo. He's still one of my heroes.
Same here. 16 year old me once dressed up as him when I was left alone in the house, complete with nail varnish. I thought he was just so stylish and fabulous!
Thank you for doing this episode even though you were solo this week - excellent analysis (as always) Clive and a wonderful counter argument to James O’Brien!
What a week!! Excellent round up, Clive.

Brilliant analysis, as always Clive. Thank you
Thank you. There's no doubt more to come about this, especially when my oppo returns next week!
It would have been such fun to hear his opinion on Quentin's housekeeping though. I roared with laughter over his reaction to Divine's poop-eating :D
He's just a good Catholic boy at heart.
Good'un.
